This 60-90 minute workshop accommodates up to 10 children and provides the perfect balance of structured creativity and personal expression. Kids develop fine motor skills while designing something they'll actually want to keep and use, a party favour that won't end up in the donation pile!

FAQs

Q: Why is there a consumable fee in addition to the base cost?

A: The $300 base fee covers our facilitator's time, expertise, all equipment and set-up and clean-up before/after event. The $10 per child consumable fee covers the lip glosses and all materials (charms, jump rings, chains, beads, elastic, etc.) that each participant keeps. This structure ensures every child gets fresh, quality supplies while keeping the pricing transparent and fair.

 

Q: My child is 7 years old. Can they still participate?

A: We recommend ages 8+ due to the small pieces involved (charms, jump rings, clasps) which require developed fine motor skills and present choking hazards for younger children. However, if your 7-year-old has strong fine motor abilities and can work carefully with small items under supervision, please contact us to discuss. Children under 7 should be accompanied by an adult.

Q: Is this workshop appropriate for boys?

A: Absolutely! While lip gloss might sound traditionally "girly," boys love this workshop too. Many boys create keychains as gifts for family members, or simply enjoy the craft aspect and designing something cool to attach to their backpacks. We have a diverse selection of charms including sports themes, gaming symbols, animals, and more that appeal to all interests. Creativity has no gender! Just give us a heads up!

 

Q: What if my child wants to make more than one keychain?

A: Great! Kids can make additional lip gloss keychains for double the consumable fee ($20 for a second one, $30 for a third, etc.). All additional items must be completed within the 60-90 minute workshop timeframe. Please let us know in advance if you anticipate children wanting to make multiples so we can bring extra supplies.

 

Q: What kind of setup do you need?

A: We need tables and seating for up to 10 children in a well-lit area. If you don't have suitable furniture, we can provide 6ft foldable tables and stools for an additional fee of $30. We bring protective table coverings, supply organizers, and all craft materials. The workspace should have enough room for children to spread out comfortably (approximately 2-3 feet per child)

 

Q: Do you provide music during the workshop?

A: Yes! If requested, we bring age-appropriate background music to create a fun, creative atmosphere. Just let us know your preference when booking.

Q: What happens during setup and cleanup?

A: We arrive 20 minutes before the workshop start time to set up all materials and organize workstations. After the workshop, we need approximately 15 minutes to pack up supplies and ensure the area is clean. We handle all cleanup - you just enjoy watching the creativity unfold!

Q: Can kids take their creations home immediately?

A: Yes! Both the lip gloss keychains and matching bracelets are ready to use and take home as soon as they're finished. Instant gratification!

Q: What if we have more than 10 children?

A: For groups larger than 10, please contact us directly. We can discuss options such as extended workshop times, multiple sessions, or bringing an additional facilitator to accommodate your group size.

 

Q: Is this suitable for a co-ed party?

A: Definitely! This workshop works wonderfully for mixed-gender groups. The charm selection is diverse enough that every child finds elements that match their personal style, and the bracelet-making component appeals to all kids who enjoy hands-on creative activities.
