Three of our most-loved services, one artist, one easy booking.
The Mix & Match packages are designed for hosts who want variety without the logistics of multiple bookings. One entertainer covers face painting, glitter tattoos, and balloon animals — and guests get to choose what they want when they sit down.
It's a relaxed, personal experience. And that's exactly the point.
A quick note before you book: Mix & Match is designed for intimate gatherings. If you're expecting a large crowd — especially 30 or more kids — this isn't the right fit. Keep reading and we'll help you figure out what is.
Mix & Match + One
Every guest gets a balloon animal, plus their choice of a basic face paint or a glitter tattoo. One artist handles both, rotating between whatever each guest picks.
At roughly 5 minutes per child, this is the more flexible of the two packages. It moves at a comfortable pace for small groups and still gives every kid a real moment at the table.
COST:
1 Hour — $180 (approx. 12 children)
1.5 Hours — $220 (approx. 18 children)
2 Hours — $250 (approx. 24 children)
Additional hours — $55/hr
Mix & Match All Three
Every guest gets all three: a balloon animal, a basic face paint, and a glitter tattoo. No choosing — they walk away with everything.
At roughly 7 to 8 minutes per child, this one is slower and more indulgent. It's best for very small, relaxed gatherings where the entertainment is the highlight of the event, not just one part of a bigger party.
COST:
1 Hour — $180 (approx. 7–8 children)
1.5 Hours — $220 (approx. 11–12 children)
2 Hours — $250 (approx. 15 children)
Additional hours — $55/hr
How to Choose:
Use your expected headcount as your guide. Take the number of kids you're expecting and multiply by the time per child — that's the minimum booking you need.
For example: 12 kids × 5 minutes = 60 minutes. Book the Pick Two for one hour and you're set.
If you're expecting 20+ kids, we'd honestly recommend looking at dedicated bookings instead. A face painter who does face painting and glitter tattoos full-time will move through a crowd significantly faster, and your guests won't have to wait as long.
For larger parties (30–40+ kids): Mix & Match can still work, but you'd need to book two artists on the same package. One artist covering 40 kids on a mix-and-match format is a recipe for a very long line.
The face painting in this package is basic designs only. We're talking cheeks, foreheads, small designs — not the full-face and medium designs you'd get from a dedicated face painter. If you want more elaborate face painting at your event, book a separate face painter. You can always add glitter tattoos to any face painting booking at no extra cost.
Each child gets one balloon. That's how the package is structured. With a dedicated balloon artist, kids can loop back and get more if the line is clear — but with Mix & Match, we're one person covering everything, so one balloon per child keeps things fair and moving. (More on this in the FAQs.)
If you have a large corporate event with 50+ kids: Mix & Match is not built for this. Book a dedicated face painter — glitter tattoos included — and a separate balloon artist. It'll be a better experience for everyone.
FAQs
Q: Can you explain the time management?
A: A lot of small moments add up inside each session. Kids take time to sit down and get settled. They spend a minute (sometimes more) choosing their design, balloon, or tattoo — even when they've already looked at the menu. Kids check themselves in the mirror. Artists rinse brushes and switch out water between guests, which usually happens while the next child is still deciding. None of these things are wasted time — they're just part of what a real, quality experience looks like — but they are why we build the time estimates the way we do.
Q: What if staff finishes early?
A: If your group moves through faster than expected, kids can absolutely come back for what they didn't choose the first time. The child who got face painting can now get a tattoo. The one who wants a friend for their balloon puppy can grab one. We'll keep going until the time is up.
Q: What if a balloon pops or comes undone?
A: We'll never leave a kid crying over a deflated dog. If a balloon pops during the session, we'll fix it or make a quick replacement. We just aren't advertising extra balloons as a standard offering — one per child is the expectation going in.
Q: Can my child get a second balloon?
A: Not as a standard part of the package. One balloon per child is what's included. If time allows at the end of the session and kids want to loop back, that's a conversation to have with your entertainer in the moment. But we can't guarantee it, so please don't plan around it.
Q: We have 30 kids — can we still book Mix & Match?
A: Yes, but you'd need to either book more time or book two artists on the same package. One artist serving 30 kids on a mix-and-match format will result in very long waits. Two artists cuts that in half and makes the experience actually enjoyable for everyone. Reach out and we'll help you figure out the right setup.
Q: What's the difference between this and just booking face painting separately?
A: A dedicated face painter works faster because they're doing one thing — no switching between services. They can also do more elaborate designs. Mix & Match trades some of that speed and detail for variety. Both are great; it just depends on what your event needs.
Q: Is there a minimum booking time?
A: One hour is the minimum for both packages.
Q: Can I book Mix & Match alongside other services?
Absolutely. Some clients book a Slime Station or Active Games and a Mix & Match artist as a second station — so adults or overflow kids have somewhere to go. It's a great combo for events that want coverage without going over budget on staffing.
