When we first started the podcast (as “Audio Adventures"), the goal was to share a variety of storylines and characters that allowed for audiences to jump in at any point without feeling like they missed something. Here’s the black bottom line: this show was to created not just to entertain, but as a space for children to explore problem solving skills, relationship building, and their own place in the world. The stories are meant to be an appetizer, with reflection being the main course. Through anecdotal learning, relatable characters and realistic storylines - listeners are challenged to analyze narratives, themes and ideas at an age-appropriate level.
What's New This Season
-
A Collective Merger - in the past two seasons, each story featured a different child in their own world, with few recurring characters. This season, we’re bringing some of our most beloved characters together into the same classroom with overlapping storylines and even more nuanced relationship dynamics
-
Character Development - now that we have all of our kids in one space, there’s more time for shifting and growth as well as establishing a connection with listeners (kids will be able to relate to each character in a different way)
-
Connection - The show is designed to be listened to alongside an adult and still features our staple talkback questions to close out each episode. This season, we’re really focussing on adult sharing (because we were all kids once upon a time), which means there may be a question or two that encourages parents/caregivers to talk about their own experiences with little ones (buckle up buttercup, lol).
